The Field & Fireside Reluctant Hunting Dummy is a training aid, designed to develop your dog's natural hunting instincts. It also helps to encourage dogs to deliver straight to hand rather than running around with the dummy.
Weighing approximately 200g and measuring just 15cm, this clever little dummy is designed to bury itself in grass and undergrowth. This means dogs really have to get their nose down and hunt for the dummy.
A little motivation goes a long way.
It has a small 'pocket' at one end rather than a toggle. This is just big enough to fit small treats or kibble and closes with a velcro fastening. It’s ideal for dogs who need encouragement to hunt for a dummy
Its small size means it is easy to pop in your pocket and use when out on a walk or use several in a training session. Simply drop the dummy close to you when the dog isn't looking or in an area that you want the dog to hunt in.
Following the success of the The Reluctant Retriever Dummy ®, this hunting version has been developed and tested by Field & Fireside ambassadors Jemma Martin and Claire Denyer to support practical, rewarding training sessions.
