The Field & Fireside Reluctant Hunting Dummy is a training aid, designed to help with hunting training. It also helps to encourage dogs to deliver straight to hand rather than running around with the dummy.
 
The Reluctant Hunting Dummy weighs approx 200g and measures only 15cm but is filled with sand so it really buries itself in grass or undergrowth. This means dogs really have to get their nose down and hunt for the dummy. It has a small 'pocket' at one end rather than a toggle. This is just big enough to fit small treats or kibble and closes with a velcro fastening.
 
Its small size means it is easy to pop in your pocket and use when out on a walk or use several in a training session.  Simply drop the dummy close to you when the dog isn't looking or in an area that you want the dog to hunt in.
 
The Reluctant Hunting Dummy was created following the success of our Reluctant Retriever Dummy and has been tested by our ambassadors Jemma Martin and Claire Denyer.
 
Available in green or orange (to aid marking for you but not the dog).
