What is your returns policy?

 

If you do wish to return an item please print & complete the returns form that can be found in the returns section on the website. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for personalised products. Due to hygiene and safety reasons whistles and any food items cannot be returned.

If you order the wrong item and want an alternative, please return the original item for a full refund and order your replacement via our website. We aim to process returns within 72 hours of receipt of the goods. Returned goods should be in a re-saleable condition in order to qualify for a full refund.

We regret that we do not accept responsibility for items that have become defective through misuse, abuse, or general wear and tear.

For refunds, items must be returned within 14 days from the date you received your order.

 

For credit notes, items must be returned within 30 days from the date you received your order.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship within the UK and shipping is free on orders over £50.

How long is standard delivery?

This is typically 1-2 business days.

What packaging do you use?

We have selected packaging that is biodegradable, recyclable or compostable. Our parcel boxes (including the tape), tissue paper, bubble wrap and mailing bags are biodegradable or recyclable.

Do you have any offers for new customers?

Rather than have discounts for new customers, we prefer to reward our existing customers and regularly send out details of special offers and discounts for our customers throughout the year as a thank you for being part of the Field & Fireside family.

Can I add items to my order once it has been placed?

If you would like to order additional items prior to your order having been despatched, please contact us by email at contact@fieldandfireside.co.uk and we will arrange this for you.

How do I know when items will be back in stock?

Simply hit the ‘notify when available’ button on the item you’re interested in and we’ll email to let you know when that item is back in stock.

What type of whistle do I need?

210.5 - a high pitch, single frequency, preferred by spaniel owners and trainers but is an excellent all-round dog whistle for close and distance control.

211.5 - a medium high pitch, single note, preferred by labrador and retriever breed owners and trainers. A good distance whistle.

212 - a medium pitch, a great all-rounder with a sound that is well within human hearing. This whistle holds its frequency no matter how loud you blow. This whistle is especially good over distance and works very well with Pointers, Setters, Retrievers, Labradors, and most Terriers. An excellent whistle for harder to train dogs and heavy cover situations.

What type of dummy should I start with?

If you’re starting out with a puppy, a snipe, puppy dummy or a dummy ball is easy for them to carry and can be used when they are older for hunting practice. The KONG Fetch Stick is great for dogs who have been retrieving tennis balls as it has the same feel but with the shape of a traditional dummy. To get the dog used to carrying some weight, start with a ½ lb canvas dummy before you progress to the heavier 1lb size.

What colour dummy should I start with?

When you want to build up a dog’s confidence to retrieve, it’s sensible to use a dummy that is easy for them to see. While a dog isn’t colour blind, the colours they can distinguish are more limited than ours. White or blue dummies are clearly visible against most backgrounds (obviously not snow, in the case of a white dummy!). These are ideal when you want the dog to be able to build up their confidence and find the dummy by sight. An orange, red or green dummy will make it more testing for them and will force them to use their nose.

Do you have a physical shop?

At the current time, we don’t have a physical shop that you can visit

Can I send items as gifts?

You certainly can. You can send an eGift Card direct to someone by email or send physical items to someone by using their address as the shipping address at checkout. If you would like us add a message to the recipient too, just add a note at checkout.
